Patrick Shannon’s creative life began when it became apparent that social work was not his calling. After returning to college to study ceramics, an internship followed which lead to self-employment as a full-time potter. Somewhere along the line, Patrick became interested in metals. It started with copper and now also includes steel, stainless steel, brass, and bronze. Patrick has always been interested in combining different materials which complement each other and form a cohesive whole. Rural Minnesota is a wonderful place to live and work, and his work is certainly influenced by its beauty and serenity.
In addition to representation in local galleries, Patrick’s work can be found in galleries in the West and Southwest and installed in public buildings, landscapes, and private collections in the United States and abroad. Click here to see custom order copper plate designs.
